A Larger Tin

Pen stores sells tin pencil boxes in three different sizes

Plastic soap holders work very well

CountyComm also sells large stainless steel tins.

Suma pro large from salkoa .

End of thread and your welcome !!:)

Yes it coast 70 bucks , but damn are they built like a tank from solid forged and milled aluminum .

These things are so heavy duty your grandkids will be using them !!

Why tins? I'm aware of the SAS survival kit that fits easily in a pocket. But as they get larger that advantage goes away.

Is there a reason that a metal container is more useful in the wild than a waterproof plastic container or pouch? These are a little small for making soup.

A friend of mine is a firefighter and fellow cyclist. One day it started to rain and she asked if I needed a "wallet" for my phone and cash. She was offering a ziplock sandwich bag!

Metal tin allows for making char-cloth, or charring other things to make good tinder.

You could cook some snails in it, I guess...

If all else fails, tear it apart to make an emergency knife!

That's about all I have for why. ;)

They are nice. I've checked them out before, but too rich for my blood.

Not really. I have both, tin and plastic. Just had the tin handy from an amplifier, thought I would use i. My fire kit fits nicely in it.
