OK, well didn't catch enough z's so I thought I'd give this a shot.
I've been pretty lucky lately, managing to get out a lot and enjoying watching the season change pretty much every week-end. I've been wanting to take pictures for a while, but lost the charger for the dig just until recently when my fiance's dog was caught tugging on the cable.. it was stuck behind the closet door.
We decided to go to Mnt Foster, about an 1h1/2 drive from Montreal.. and what fun it was. Ok, well after the mess. it's funny you dont think of taking a picture when something's happening to you. We pulled off onto a big field where we spotted a wild turkey and did a bit of offroad (have a video of it will be here shortly) and then arrived to a pretty muddy trail leading into the woods. So I was thinking of hiding the truck, backed it up into the woods for a bit then when there was a bit of a clearing I was gonna park there. as I was in the process of doing this the back sank in and pretty much was an never ending struggle to get it out.
So we walked for about an hour until we came to a lake, we decided to just relax a bit. Then walked around till we found this creek leading through the woods to pretty much the base of mnt foster. We went on a bit with our headlamps, but it was getting cold pretty rapidly and although I was well prepared for it, My bear grylls of a friend wasn't. so we setup camp.
we stayed up until 5-6 and well... This is why there's not so many pictures at night.
bit of knife pr0n
my comfy sleeping bag stuffed in my bivy with my mat
A shot of our shelter, nothing fancy.. fast and simple.
Here's me I LOOK COOLL YEAA? well... Oh and kudos not smoking! for once.
And uprooted tree which we messed around with a bit..
pretty spacious Lean-to would make an excellent blind for hunting considering the angle it's in and pointing at an area with lots of animal feces.
