A lil' something for ME....

Mr. Koster, that's a great looking mod job.
I really like the heat-coloring effect.

BTW, if I may ask. What model#/part# scotchbrite wheel did you use for buffing?
The reason I ask, I'm thinking about doing that to mine and the company
I work for buys direct from 3M.

thanks

mike

Wow, what a good job you did- understated modifications that transform the knife into something great. I'm definitely jealous.

I think you improved the knife drastically. I wasn't a big fan of the camo finish that the blade had originally and heat coloring the titanium handle scale really dressed it up. So I guess previously it wasn't really my style but now I like it a lot.

The thumbstud on the zt300 seems to be a screw-type and not like those used on the kershaw folders chive, scallion.
Is this really easy to disassamble ? I have heard that the glue can loosen by heating the thumbstuds.I guess you had to exchange the glue ?

2brothers - I can't remember...:foot:....just picked one out of the msc catalog, fine finish deburring wheel, 12" diameter.

bump - the thumbstud is a press fit...you just punch it through...no heat needed to break the glue bond.
