A little disappointed with the Ruck.... Still cool though!

The bigger and heavier a knife is, the more important balance becomes.
It just tested my AK and Ruck for the balance point, and it is pretty hard to believe that the tiny difference makes such a big difference in feel, but it does. My quick "balance on index finger" test yield approximately the same results as above.

Even though the ergo battle mistress chopped roughly the same as the basic 9 (if not a little better because of weight), it felt like it was way behind the basic 9 because it had such a neutral balance comparatively.

I don't think it is too hard to understand!

Ruck got no tail!! or Ruck need a tail! perhaps that would solved the puzzle :) maybe

I'm thinking more and more about rigging something up to get the balance right for me. The tube fastener holes should make it pretty easy, even if it's not pretty. (I'm thinking zip ties.)

hmm.. wonder how much lead you could shove into the bottom 2 or 3 rivet holes.. then use maybe JB Weld to keep 'em in there.

got inner diam of rivets.. so you could pre-cast the lead to that diam & length.
dunno how many more ounces they'd give though..

You could fill the holes with lead or even cut some channels out from underneath the micarta and fill that with some lead.
