A little help?

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the reply! Talked to Steve yesterday and he seems to be one heck of a great guy to deal with. Do you recommend the Class 4 simply for the longer arm or are there other features that the Class 4 gives you?

For $200 more I'd get the Cobra 4. More versatility. Also they are LEGENDARY for their service, and its true.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for the Cobra 4 also. (of course I'm biased, because that's what I use). Between the 3 and the 4 or the Artisan 3000, you won't miss the extra throat depth until you need it…..and then it's too late! The 3 or 4 will do everything you've mentioned so far but if you happen to want to do a rifle scabbard or such…..THEN the extra throat depth is priceless.

As ,mentioned, Cobra customer service sets the standard others hope to meet.

Getting a sew machine just opens up new horizons, spend the extra money if you can, listen to Paul.

I'm getting a lot of repair work due to my machine, just finished repairing an old satchel.

However stay or get proficient with hand stitching too as some jobs you cannot do with a machine.

When I get a machine it'll definitely be a class 4 Cobra. My understanding is that the 4 can do what the 3 does, but not necessarily the other way around. In general I like to research anything I buy, but it's pretty clear that the Cobra is the way to go for me. I'm not sure how much after-purchase support is necessary, but by ALL accounts leather machine co has it in spades.

Burnish the waxed threads! 💰
Another great tip. So subtle in scope but huge on the bench.
Its in the details. Thank you.
