The temps here have been bitter. When it does warm up, it is usually during the week when there is not much time to get out.

I have been itching to get the kids out ice fishing. With it being cold, I knew it wasn't going to last long, but I still figured it was better than not going at all.

Here are just a couple pictures I wanted to share with friends here.

The truck ride to the lake (my little girl):

You have to eat before fishing, you know!

Cool pics - I've never been ice fishing and would love to go at some point. It's great to see you getting the kids involved as well.

Did you cook that fish stick up? :) J/K - That's more than I caught last time I was out.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice pics. Brian:thumbup: What lake are you at in these photos? My son and I are about to head out right now.

Nick:)

We just went to Heron lake in Holly rec.

PS Nick. I think I am going to have to come see you this week about some steel.

Cool picks. Some of my finest memories are of family ice fiskin outings. Occasionally my mother would tag along and we'd have a big pot of chilli simering on a Coleman stove. Nothing like a styrofoam cup of chilli to warm ya up...

Nice photos. It's great to see folks doing good things with their kids!

I was planning on ice fishing today but the temps were below zero when I got up. I'm getting old enough to say "the heck with it" when it's too cold, and find something else to do. :)

Stay warm,

Great pics Brian. As much as I love fishing, I can't get into ice fishing. Just too damn cold for me:o

I don't mind looking at pictures of other peoples outings though:thumbup:;)

The kids are precious, your a lucky man :thumbup: Enjoy it while you can they grow up quick, my son is almost 20, we have a great relationship and do a lot of things together but I miss having little ones around.

BTW what is that shirt/coat you are wearing, looks the bees knees. Chris

Very cool Brian ( no pun intended LOL ) What way to spend some time with family and being out in nature. Way to go.

Panfish caught through the ice are delicious. White flaky meat.

Hey yesterday at a thrift store, I spotted a ice auger sharpener. Didnt pay any attention to the price or anything. It was still unopened.
