I received a Nirk from Brian Tighe yesterday and thought I'd show some photos.

The Nirk Tighe tips my postal scales at 4.4 oz.

I just got mine in today. Do you plan on carrying it or is it a collectors piece to you. Its so light and well balanced if you place your finger in the forward most "choil". I'm very happy with the purchase and know it will last forever. Unfortunately for my checkbook, this definitely wont be the only Tighe for me as the quality and workmanship is first rate.

I'm using it. I have it in my pocket right now. :)

I'm doing the same. The clip is cool too with the tool-marked texture and low-ride. I cant say enough about it. Enjoy it as I know I will.

A tad better than crkt version :D

I see now. The way it reads on crkt site it appears he works for them not just designs them. Still, I can see how they can do all of that machining and still sell them retail for $18.00. They sell their simple designs for more than that, the crkt must be imported.

It is a very cool knife for sure.

Maybe I'm too old fashioned, but that looks like it belongs in a sci-fi movie. I'm sure it's a great knife and all, but if you like it, than great. Never could understand holes in blades either???

A couple of things I really like are the light weight for such a large knife, and the slicing ability. It seems that the scallops (?) in the blade really aid in reducing friction. I was slicing tomatos and pears for lunch today and this knife was slicing better than any other knife I can remember using. It definitely isn't meant for heavy duty work, but as a light duty in-your-pocket knife, I'm impressed so far. :D

great knife-- it took a lot of imagination to pull that off. i guess compressed air is best way to keep it clean. should be in the next terminator movie.

Its basically a lock back. You either lift the bar near the blade, or press the back end where a button would be on a traditional lock-back. I cant say enough that pictures dont capture. The insides of the frame are all anodized and I dont want to test its strength but I feel its a bit stronger than it necessarily feels. Its a great EDC as mine will be. The weight and slimness for a good stout blade is simply incredible and shap as the dickens for sure.
