A little OT ...Just a little extra defense in a HOG Minded World... :) Pix

Rick, that is one scary looking knife! I'd like to take that on a dog/hog hunt planned for tuesday...

Verranice.

Is that the one Dan used for the hunt, or a replica? I bought a ticket for the raffle but had no luck. I did, however, build a knife, just in case. Shown here with a Reeve Shadow I and HOFSH (ob. Busse content) for scale: ...

12" blade of 5160 and a 7" sharpened top clip. It will stick you.

Rick

rbmcmjr, I'd have to ask Dave @ Steeladdiction Knives to be sure. He sold it to me, but I'm pretty sure that this IS the actual knife package from the Boar Hunt '06. He had one from Tom Krein (missed that, bummer!), and the Graham brothers as well over the last month or so. BTW YOURS is ONE MEAN LOOKIN' STICKER too!!!!!!!!! :D

That's some verranice grind lines. What kinda grinder didja use?

That is one heckuva sweet looking setup. All I've ever used is a belt sheath and a pack rig... How is that one worn with that long strap? Just curious...

Very Very Nice

Whoops! I didn't actually grind it, merely commissioned a refinish. The original knife was made by Ted Frizzell of Mineral Mountain Hatchet Works. I had the rather uninspiring plain canvas micarta slabs changed out for these shaped green linen babies. John Gonzalez (Dervish Knives) did the work for me and sharpened the top clip.
