Sofar, I have ordered 8lb density kaowool, a blower, a propoane torch, and all the thermocouple and controller stuffs that Stacy recommended in his thread about a temp controlled forced air gas forge.
All the steel and stuff I have or will get from the scrapyard.
That leaves me with the refractory cement....Which type, and where online should I get? A link would be very helpful. You do need that to seal up the blanket, right? Prevent silicosis of the lungs kinda thing?
Special glasses to prevent eye damage while looking into the forge? Again What and where? Seems I saw something about looking into the forge causing some visual damage.
I'm a complete newb at the whole forge thing, but find myself quite handy in the shop. Thanks in advance for the help.
