A Little "Snub Lore" Model

I am curious about all the hemp for your handles.
That might explain the expression on your face in your avatar photo.

"Wildertools- Knives with an Attitude Adjustment" :)

They have obviously never had their hands slip up on the blade and give them a nasty gash now, have they?
I have a youth training model with a guard, Steven.:p

I joke around but honestly, what are these folks doing when their hand slips up on the blade? I can see the need for a guard on fighters or thrusting tools(whatever that means) but proper technique will eliminate mishaps. Any drilling or puncturing should be done with the butt of the handle in your palm(like an awl, chisel or screw driver). I rarely see guards on carving, paring or steak knives. Most slipjoints are guardless... how ever do they cope.:)

That said, I have no issues with puting guards on per request. I am by no means telling folks how they should use knives.... well, I suppose I kinda am.:o

Nice knife Rick. I don't believe a knife like this needs a guard. Maybe some people prefer a guard but i would not in this knife.

I like it Rick! Always good to see your stuff.

Hope you had a good weekend buddy!
