A Little Something for Me

Nice! I just bough a few discs of kydex, and have been planning to do something... never though about a paint job like that. Inspiring stuff! :)

BTW, did you get my e-mail? I'm thinking of having some Kydex made for my Dexter Russell "mini-bolo" kitchen/camp knife. I can send pics first.

I got the one from the 8th. I've been backed up a bit and will be doing yours Friday.

Spooky, your stuff is looking like Friday too.

Just a bit creepier than the leaves the other day.
I wonder if a "spatter" would work or if it would be too thick and chip off.
Geez, I thought you were using cans.
That's really neat. Definitely gives "hot plastic" a boost.

I tried some canned textured, it's not very tough. If you match the color it might look good for a while, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I did use cans on those other pieces. Could've used them on this one with no real difference. I've got a couple ideas for the airbrush though if I can find the time to try them. Should be cooler than this one.

Completely unrelated, but check out these guys with rattle cans. Now that's cool.

Quick update. Doing other things and gave this a quick graphic on the blank side. Same skull, a bit different effect. Quick one color job to waste some paint. I'm going to be doing some more complicated ones this weekend if I get the time.

kiahs? What will the anti-knife and weapon crowd say? They'll say you are glorifying knives as weapons, not tools! It's bad for all of us!!!*

*And f*ck them if they don't like it.

Great work! I want one just like it to wear openly!

They'll change their minds when the zombies come. Just you wait.

Thanks. I'll be doing some less "skully" ones this weekend if time permits (and one very "skully" one for my Baby Hattori).

That is very cool! I like the two different colours. What thickness do you use?

So Kiah... would this be an option you could do to customer sheaths? :D

Once the site is back up, it will be. I'm wanting to do something with a M2000 Tonight, so there might be something extra in a certain box when it ships out Monday. ;)

Don't mind the lack of form on the sheath and the roughness, it's a scrap piece. Kinda snakey. I went a bit goofy on the clear, but a lot of the shine is from the flash. Kinda like it, but I think it needs bigger diamonds.

Cool man, very 'snakeskin'.

Thanks. I don't really care for it after looking at it abit. Scales are too small and there's no pattern. Here's a scrap with some bigger scales and better coloring. I like it better. Obviously wet.
