My feeling is that most people have just scratched the surface as far as finishing Timascus. My first instinct was to go for maximum impact with the coloring. I'm sure the more "artsy" makers than myself will really get into doing more with the coloring, texturing and finishing of it in general. I'd like to play around with bead blasting and electro anodizing it. This knife was heat colored. There are color ranges that can be obtained that are much less bold than the blue/purple/gold. At one point the material looked as if one alloy turned gold while the other remained gray/silver. It looked pretty cool
