A little time in the woods today...(pics)

It was a nice day out and my younger brother had off of school, so we went out shooting and such. While out, I figure I’d show him how to do some basic snares/traps.

The location was poor and the actual snare line was a little short, an easy fix, but since I wasn’t really using it I didn’t bother (he got the idea:thumbup. I had a video of how it works, but it doesn't seem to want to load.

I carried the straight machete and carbon clipper (the 2 to the left), and he carried the Cold Steel kukri machete and stainless clipper (2 to the right).

I’d really like to get out with him to do some camping but we haven’t been able to find the time, yet.

i'm in the same boat with my brother...i am thinking this summer though i am definitely going to make sure that we get some time under the stars.

we were also tossing around the idea of doing a week or two on the appalatian trail when he is 16-17 (he is 10 now)
