A little time with the Kukri!!

Hat's off to both Russ and Danny for offering up their blades for a passaround. Hope this gathers some more interest as I'd like to see more action/use photos and hear feedback.
 
I have a bunch of 2-6" soft maple trees that I could do some "testing" on.:D

Very generous of you two to offer up such awesome knives for a pass around like this.:thumbup:

I`m surprised only three signed up for the opportunity to test these two out. I`m always getting told to make more choppers, here is a chance to check out both of the choppers I make.

I agree I posted that earlier. Not really even in the pass around forum but just a seperate thread stating its a pass around. I'm positive it would fill up ASAP!
 
I don't want to obligate someone else's knife.

I did suggest to John that if he made a basic version, then allowed a passaround where the participants were REQUIRED to post a review on at least two separate forums (Bladeforums and one other forum) then it might make it worth his while to do the passaround.

The problem with passarounds is that in many cases it becomes a thread of broken promises (just check the current kershaw / zt passarounds if you doubt me)....

I have been busy and could not take pictures -
My camera is broken -
My dog ate my lunch -

But - luckily here in the JK forum, we have people who DO live up to their promises , and I would be happy to be the passaround wrangler if it were to happen.

We did have fun with the JK Abuse passaround, and I did not have any trouble keeping that one going and everyone participated to the fullest - I think we could do that with a chopper passaround.

I even envision that we would have a specific series of tests that each person could choose one or two and then perform them with pictures and or video.
