A little trip to the park, three months in with the RC6 (I think) and photos.

Hey guys, well I wanted to get out today with the GF, we had a beautiful day, around 15*C and I was in my summer attire.

This is a shot from just going into the park, has lots of bench's and fire pits, thankfully Alberta is still pretty old school and fires are allowed most anywheres.

I had the kit with me of course, My Max lunada is still giving me some love. That pack has taken the abuse of being thrown' every where, carried every day and just plain abused, but it still keeps going. The RC6 has had a new edge put on it, and cuts like no one business. Plus, I got a new Fiskars the other day, so I wanted to try that some too.

Got my stuff together for a fire, the fiskars saws work great for striking a firesteel, and just plainly is a great addition to any kit. I usually keep it in the Vest now, but seeing as we were in a local park, I thought I would be a little more sheeple friendly and just take the Lunada.

Here are some shots of the RC6 in use, I really like the knife now with the redone edge, it cuts so well now. Plus, I took of the coating on the edges of the steel when I got home, its very sharp looking now, I will put up some pics tomorrow.

Looks like a good time. Exactly what did you do to the RC-6 edge, and what did you use to accomplish it?

I went at it with a 5" Disk sander with 400 grit pads, just took the edge back a few degrees, makes a huge difference.

Looks good Fonly. I just got done a bout of stropping and at this moment can really appreciate how a grinder might help....

great pics Fonly... i really like those RC-6's... that digi-cam spyderco is pretty cool too...:)
