There are about a dozen members who attend semi-regularly. We meet once a month on a Saturday morning, and trade, yak and show-and-tell.
Sometimes I bring home a knife or two. Sometimes none, and sometimes a whole raft like today!!
I was up late, barely slept, but I dragged my sorry behind out and drove the 40 minutes to be there!! Wouldn't miss it for the world! Bladeforums LIVE!!
If you have a club or attend meetings anywhere, tell us about it!! And please show us the knives!!

Talking to Charlie I often hear about this wee Knife Club.....
Just once..... just once in my life do I want to go to this meeting!!
Nice Haul Charlie, waiting to see more- That Big Jack second down, the EO- Whew!...what that be? Black Composite Camillus?

Very nice Charlie :) Knife clubs are unheard of here in England :( Every few weeks though, I go over to meet up with @ADEE and @scruffuk, and visit their local flea market. We don't find many knives in the market anymore, but we usually show what we've acquired since our last meeting, have a pint or two, and talk about knives. We don't trade them, but we regularly gift them to each other. We found out that Mrs ADEE, when talking to her friends, refers to us as 'Penknife Club' (as in 'Fight Club'), which is rather funny :)

Here are some more views of the subject knives: From top to bottom in the top picture;
A sweet Italian "junior" wood-handled pruner, a useful Remington advertising knife for Hanover Shoe with composite handles. Next a "k" series Schrade stockman - unused, a Case XX 6232 Redbone Jack, and a ten-dot Redbone Muskrat. The 'belly is a well-stuffed Stockman from Ibberson!! Note the semi-sunk joints! Last is a snappy Case XX 5375 - poorly sharpened but eminently rescuable.

I like those Reds, real style.

No knife clubs here either, be looked on as some kind of maniacs' circle I suspect..:( Such is 'education' - spreading received opinions, everywhereo_O

Nice to have mates to sit down with and jaw about knives in person, still, the virtual version has its virtues too:thumbsup:

Nice haul, Charlie. Great Ibberson, love that deep blade etch! Definitely no knife clubs anywhere near me. I know there are at least a couple of other collectors in my city, but they seem to keep a pretty low profile.

Thank you for the extra photos, Charlie. Those Remingtons are fun knives. Nice stock knives too. No clip blade on that 'belly! ...is it stock knife or cattle?!;) :D

Hmmm . . . .good question, !! Opinions may vary!!
Levine doesn't mention "humpback" or "sowbelly" under Cattle knives, but does say it should have a clip blade if it's a Stockman. What's a collector to think???

Some great ones there, especially that red Case on top! I wish there was a knife club around here, it would be nice to hang out sometimes and talk knives and trade.

Great catches!

I would really like to take part in a knife club, but the Allegheny (I think it was) knife club email got hacked or something because I only ever get spam from them and I don't know of any others around me.

I guess this is my "club" Used to make a monthly meet here on Long Island for an antique tool club
Some knives would show up a great deals - mostly from upstate NY makers
Nice thing about a club is the members are eager to share knowledge and pass on good deals

Yes, just like this forum ;)

It would be very , very nice to have a group of people around that I , as a retired person , could have coffee and talk knives with , but that is not going to happen . It was very nice to spend some time with @Amir Fleschwund last Friday but that is not even a monthly thing . I do have 2 friends that I like to call and talk with , but they both live a long ways away . Going to the Rendezvous was a great time and we will be going again this year , so I guess that just like mrknife mrknife , that is the closest thing to a Club that I have . You are lucky to have one waynorth waynorth .
