Heres a new one, 17-½ inches OAL, 1065 blade with a bronze guard, reticulated sterling silver ferrule, sterling silver fittings and butt cap, AZ mesquite wood handle core, with woven cotton cord wrappings sealed with natural orange flake shellac.
Aaron, the mesquite is kind of like walnut, but a bit denser. It has a nice color and grain, similar to ironwood, but not as hard and dense as ironwood.
I don't disagree with Keith's taste in fixed blades very often,
but,
I TOTALLY have to agree with him on this Goo Bowie! It is a beauty and a new favorite of mine. That last image angle is so intriguing...I would love to see everything that is happening on that blade in person. Grind, bevels, swedge, taper...makes a very strong point!
