Gotcha'. I guess I was mistakenly lumping the 24 in with the 18 re: generations. What I was really trying to ask and botched doing so was did the blade (closed) stop pin get moved in front of the pivot like in an 18, and the answer appears to be "NO".
I carry the XM 24 spanto, however I am a big Bowie Knife fan, Jim Bowie and the whole Alamo thing really got me into knives originally, so an XM 24 Bowie has been ordered and it is on its way. The 4 inch blade captures the feeling of a big knife and that is what a Bowie Knife is all about. Pictures when it comes in.
