hi Beef, the weather is VERY unpredictable here in the mountains. It can be 35 deg celcius in the afternoon, and ten minutes later hailing or snowing.


this is why a LOT of people get caught out here, they go up in shorts and T's and suddenly its pissing rain for three hours in the summer........and they get cold/hypothermic.
 
Fair enough.
How do the kids feel about the walk now? In hindsight did they enjoy it? It's often the way!

Those shots reminds me of Yakushima Island.
 
^ roofing shingle roll. The wood gets slippery than ice when damp, so then stick down sheets of the roofing rolls and staple them on.
