A lot cooler in real life! Mods and customs!

Oh, DAAAAMN, I LOVE that 5!! First thing I wanted to do when mine arrived was tanto it... I'll have to get another.

That little things gave me FITS! it's got a couple hidden 1/6" stainless pins under the scales.
Sharp as hell, tho. You'll have to tell me how you like the A2. Strop on the gray nail buffer and wipe with the chamois.
I dunno how you'll carry it - so small. Maybe put a keeper chain in the sheath hole and run it around a belt loop - or make a real sheath. :)

-Daizee

that;s impressive daiz! I know most things are harder to do in miniature, I imagine that's true with knives too! Just a sweet lil Critter!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I can only take credit for for the 14 as my work. Daizee did some great work and the local sharpener did also. Thanks to warrior for the photo shop of the tanto 5 for me top see what it will be.

Like I said I'm very happy with how they all turned out!

I wanted a utility knife about the size of a bk 13 but of something that would keep an edge a bit longer. I really didn't need or want a very long blade so I was thinking about 1-1.5 " blade. So with it being a smaller knife I wanted to have a smaller handle so I designed it to sort of wrap around my finger with the ball of the handle sitting between two fingers. The lanyard hole is also very functional in that the lanyard goes around a finger for a little extra leverage while I'm cutting. The knife you see it's what I came up with and daizee made.

I haven't been able to use it much yet, but I let a guy at work user it to cut open a few boxes and hee thought it was great. I mostly wanted a though utility knife, and this fits what I need.

Hi Nick - This is Albert of Seattle Edge, that knife was dropped off to me by Aaron R. of Top Notch Tactical. I'm happy you like it! I will be finishing up Aaron's BK5 tanto mod tomorrow. If everything goes according to plan I will bring it with me to Blade. Are you headed to the Blade show too?

Cause pics are always fun.....

Me shaping the tanto tip.

Hey Albert! I'm glad you found your way here! And that you're a supporting member. Now I can post everywhere that you're the fella that modded my knife. :D

I wish I could go to blade. It's just not in the stars for me this year. Make sure you stop by the kabar booth to see Ethan. He loved the mods by the way!

Make sure to post pix of Aaron's when you're done.

I'll try to call you some time soon.

Thanks Nick! Call any time! Thanks for recommending my services to havoc1969 btw. I will ABSOLUTELY stop by and talk to Ethan! Sorry you can't make it to Blade this year. There is always 2013.... I will post some pics of Aaron's knife when I get back from the show as it's going in the mail later today. He is getting some other work done on the knife post sharpening, yes, it's going to be awesome. :D

Thanks for the kind words Silverthorn! This was a really fun project. A good heat treatment makes my job a little easier. :)

For those of you attending Blade this year, I am going to be at table 21-N with examples of my work, the coated tanto included. Stop by and say hello! I am sharing the table with Mike Ruth Jr. He is going to have some INSANE steel on the table, that's all I can say about that. :)
