Bob live's on in many of us through his work.
Jim Merritt has lost his partner and friend and the World mourns.

i still need ot do a knife in style of a long ago fallen maker but i feel the need to make a nice sub hilt now also
sad days but a bright past and future for all the work he had done
cant wait to see more pictures

Here is a collection of quite a few Bob Loveless marks
and etches that I collected off pictures of his knives and
from the book of Luigi Peppini's Loveless collection.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Thank you for the great pictures.
Loveless was a trailblazer for the knife comunity.
A modest addition to the picture tribute, my only Loveless knife.

Thanks for starting this thread, I bet we see some great knives.

One of the greatest men to walk this Earth passed away. This is a fitting tribute, thank you......

The great man himself with Jim Merritt taken May this year. His work will live on forever!!

Here's my first which I have posted before. I received a Dixon Fighter last Saturday which handle material is very similar to the New Orleans Special below. I will post Coop's photo after he's finished.

Here is my 6 ½” Fighter, with contoured Macassar Ebony handle.

Awesome thread and quite the tribute to a master in steel. Keep them coming guys and thanks for the great pictures of Bob's knives.

I'm unfamiliar with Mr. Loveless, alas I'm just getting into knife collecting... I wikipedia'ed and googled the name and saw he just passed away, truely sad :(

Was he the sole originator of the subhilt knife?
