i had my friend cut some 1075 that was supposed to be 2" wide. since he cut it 5/8" too much i decided to make meat cleavers out of it and this is the first one. it is a chisel grind and its 12" long x 2 5/8" wide with a 6" long half convex edge. i heat treated only the edge. the handle material is neoprene. i am asking $135 for it. i'm including the kevlar sleeve that i have been keeping it in since i think its safer. i dont reccomend cutting into bone with this although it probably would handle it ok.

i loaned this cleaver for a few days to a friend who loves to cook and he's going to test it for me. he will take pictures of his results for me to post.

my friend gave it back since he was too busy to cook. his wife took over the cooking but was too scared to use it after she seen how sharp it was.
