• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

A week ago I returned from Montana having used a rehandled Mora made by a friend of mine. He volunteers at Walter Reid shaping carbon fiber for veteran prostetics.

He made me this:

It still cuts like one....

The handle material is a carbon fiber (black) and kevlar (yellow) weave that is very light but quite strong and rigid from my experience.

Have you customized your Moras recently?

the only change i made to a mora is the sheath. i couldnt stomach the plastic sheath for very long, so i made a leather one. great looking knife.

That is really cool and looks great
I'll bet you could baton the heck out of that :D

Thanks guys! He will really appreciate the comments! Did I mention this is his first time doing this? :D

In fact just the other day he sent me some pics of a Kershaw Needs Work, rehandled in a material similar to this!

That is a whole lot of handle! You definitely need a new sheath though!

WOW a Mora even I would like. Fantastic looking handle.
Please thank your friend for his work for the troops. I have a friend with a prosthetic leg and I really see a need for his work.

MMMotor...

How did he attach that lovely to the blade? Epoxy, JBWeld? I understand that moras only have about a 2" tang. Does anyone know how the mora tangs are shaped, do they have notches or holes for epoxy to grip?
