Sometimes we overlook what is right in front of us, like the mountain laurel that grows outside my back door. a very dense wood, crooked and with a lot of character. I had some stabilized by G and K and kind of forgot about it a drawer until I discovered it today and fit it to a small drop point blade. It came out looking a little like bone.

Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain pattern throughout the blade
Flat grind
Stabilized mountain laurel handle with brass and Micara
Overall length; 8 inches
Blade: 3 3/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry

Gerry, Grady slaughter again, sir. I would very much like to purchase the knife just listed as A Native Son. The elegance of the simple form embodies the beauty of the knives you make. I'll be watching for another ''finger'' styled blade in the future as well.
