I havent posted on the survival forum here in a bit. Thought it was time to do so..Here is a custom Nessie I did for an order. Blade is a slight variation from my standard. Patina aged blade, fileworked with antiqued stag...Hand braided wrist lanyard with a custom line worked sheath.

Thanks for looking.

hey Matt... nice to see ya here man... that is a beauty of a knife... nice looking sheath too...

That's just awesome. I really admire your work and look forward to an order in the near future.

Matt it is great to see you over here! I hope you will post more often. Your excellent knives will fit right in.

Classic!

The patina really fits the design and handle material. Looks like a functional antique.

Well done,

- Mike

Thanks for all the great feedback! Really appreciate that.
I will post more up here when I can and try and check back as often as possible..
Trentu..I cut my own scales from solid antler. I get more control over the scales this way...at least to the degree of thickness.

Thanks again

Matt

That is a really wonderful, smooth patina. And the overall knife is just totally set. It looks hinterlands-ish, but with a really high level of finish detail and balance.

Matt, can I ask what you used to develop the patina on that piece? I like the smooth texture, and I'm compiling a sort of 'recipe book' of patinas. I'm a mustard + vinegar man myself.

All the Best,

- Mike

I think this is one of my favorite nessmuks I have seen of yours, and as always your patina is amazing. I love the scrollwork on your sheaths, I have yet to be successful at it. Nice to see you stopping by the W&SS, take your boots off and stay a while.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Nessie's, but this one is a beauty...love the patina!
