You know... when I scored the red one from Blade West (by proxy), I wasn't sure if I liked it either.

I put it away for a while... then the ganza pics started showing up...
mmmmm satin!!!.

So, I pulled it out and started playing with it... :eek:
(how often do you get to say that with out it meaning :foot: )
Anyway... the more I played with it, the more it grew on me.
(OK... this is getting bad. :o )

OK, OK... the point is... Now, I really like this blade style!!! :thumbup: :thumbup:

They are beautiful. I have one of the FSH proto's in Blue/Black and love it. Now I'm having FBM Proto envy ;)
 
Dang bro! That is one very sweet looking blade. It's got some wicked grinds don't it?!:thumbup: Recurve, swedge, clipped...and it looks freaking sharp too!:eek: Great score!

You need to resheath the new proto or bring it back inside - it's starting to turn blue.

I wonder of there is a way to make the pretty Blue Handles a little more "Grippy"?

I really like the way the Blue handles look, but they seem way to smooth to my hand.

I wonder of a few with Canvas Micarta might be in the works some day?
 
I love the blade style....I wish I could have afforded one, I really like the whole package. Great looking set there Foo!

Andre,

G10 takes a nice and grippy surface finish when it is sand/bead blasted. Tom Krein uses that finish on several of his knives and I like it very much. You can see it in this photo of my TAD Gear Special:

I imagine that those blue handles would behave similarly.

You might want to check out the first knife from K9 Knives (Krein + Koster). I believe one handle choice is Tom Krein's bead-blasted material (G10??).

The knife will be made from 3V. :cool:
