Well this one is finally done. I have been working on this off and on for a while. It is my chopper. Hand made from 1/4" 1075 with a 9" blade and it is 15" over all. Full tang, full flat ground. The handles are Ecuadorian Monterillo with stainless tubes. I have used it before I got it completely done and it is just wild how well it chops. Thank for looking . Doug

That looks great. I like the handle, looks nice and comfy to slide back on it for chopping.

Doug,

You are the man...someday maybe I'll have to hit you up for a custom. Starting my new job on Tuesday, we'll see how the money comes in.

Neat design. Aside from chopping it also looks like that with the edge delivery being slung so low it would work well on a cutting board too.

now that's nice!!! great job..Hope I get a chance to play with it at the gathering this summer....Hmm now that your making larger knives, I'd sure love to se a scandi leuku ;) Take care Bud

Thanks everyone for the compliments. It will be there at the summer gathering along with a second one, so yes you can. Doug

That's a great looking knife, and I like the way the handle looks. I'm assuming it's long enough to slide your hand back for chopping, then coke up to the "choil" for finer work? If so, that's a great way to make a handle for that. Great idea.

I have used the Ecuadorian Monterillo on a few knives, real nice wood and nice to work with. Thanks for the compliments all. Doug

Hey Doug, you were right. Those handles did turn out great. Now to get my knife...looks great though. itll be pimping. prolly a great chopper.

Wow! That handle design looks fantastic! Beautiful wood too! Is the handle a bit different than that corian one you had? I don't remember the front groove being as pronounced.

That blade sure cleaned up nice! It sure felt nice in my hand. This new handle looks even more rounded and comfy. Reeeeeealy cool! I can't wait to use its twin this summer at the get-together!

Thanks Tony the pictures dont do it justice. When you move it and the light hits it at different angles it gives it a whole new look. Simple awesome. Doug
