A New Bret Dowell...

Now that's a nice looking knife. Can you get a good grip on the micarta slabs with damp/wet hands?

Ed,Most custom handmade slipjoints I have ever owned,come one way from the maker,as new.Most often has some sort of "polish" or whatever,from the makers finishing process
I have found,pocket carry & washing with dish detergent & a sponge (mostly after food,blood etc to clean),they take on a different feel.
I do have pictures of different knives,in these stages.
Most get a grippier feel,after this,than when new from the maker.
Canvas is most grippiest.IMO,paper is probably the least grippiest.
I'm still waiting for one of these makers to do a shadow in beaded G-10,like Tom Krein does on his knives,now that is grippy.
