Anders sent this last night and I have to say this piece really does it for me. Don't think I've seen this blade shape from him.

11" blade, bronze and fossil walrus.

What do y'all think?

Great handle and overall lines. But the bladesmith in me is also caught by the fact that the hardening line (hamon) seems to peter out a bit early near the choil.

I agree with everyone. It might be my favorite Hogstrom knives I have seen. I think the overall flow of the knife is beatiful. This is a really good looking piece.

Thanks for sharing, Jon

Devin, I'm pretty sure it is 1050 with a water quench. But if I hear different I'll let y'all know.

John, the hamon is a little low at the choil but I bet the edge starts out in front a bit. Doesn't bother me :)

This could be my favorite Hogstrom. Super good lines and flow with this one.

Wow, that's gorgeous! I really like this knife.

Bronze? That's very good looking bronze!

My taste is usually too much on the conservative side to fully appreciate his pieces. However I really like this elegant and lethal looking beauty.
Definitely my favorite.

Really like this new blade profile out of Anders! Great looking fighter. Anders pretty much sticks with 1050, when he isn't using damascus. The double hamon on this one looks awesome.

to me it looks like Virgil England meets William Scagel.

That bronze/mammoth combo is too freakin' cool!:D
