Screwing around a bit today and was struck with an idea. Figured I'd give it a shot and see what everyone thought of it.

Solves some problems but it's a bit bulky for an Izula. I don't have the retention right, a bit too tight as it's a single sided molding but it's a start.

Tell me what you think.

And I don't have these for sale, just trying out the idea.

By single sided, you mean the back side is completely flat? Looks good, like how you folded it over, been thinking about something simple like that for when the arrowheads come out.

ETA: To remove some of the bulk, you think you could remove one whole side? Seems like two screws would be enough, just an observation.

i like the concept behind it. like you said it needs some refinement. but after that it should be cool! :D

I love it! That's one of the best pocket ones that I've seen. Great job Shotgunner!

Yea, one side is completely flat and the other has all the shape.

As for removing one side, I wanted to be able to use the RC-3 bootclip without modification.

I like the clip, it's better than the ones I've purchased from knifekits.com. Is the sheath held together with rivets? If not you could just remove the screws and open the sheath up to clean it. It looks great for IWB and belt but I'm wondering if it sticks out a little to much for pocket carry, especially jeans. I'd love to hear any comments you have on that.
Nicely executed though!

It does stick out quite a bit. I haven't tried it with jeans as I'm wearing cargos today but I'll try it out later.

It is riveted. Didn't think of not rivering it till you said that.... could have saved 4 rivets......

Then I got nothin, looks good, box em up!

ETA:Could you do just the one side of kydex screwed straight to the bootclip without modding?

I guess you could just drop it down some when mounting it but then you're adding a little more bulk as well. Might be worth it if you can find a happy medium.

Shotgunner, another thought I had that may or may not work. What if you didn't use the existing boot clip holes but relocated them in a way that made the whole setup narrower? For instance, the two bottom holes could be moved closer to the tip to bring them in some.

i've been using the rc-3 clip on my standard izula sheath... that would really cut down on bulk from what i've got now. i like it.
