I thought I had sold this knife but the buyer backed out. I liked it so much that I decided to keep it for myself instead of trying to sell it again. I've always wanted to keep one of my knives anyway and this is the right one. I really like the sheath too. The blade is 6" long, 5160. Thanks for looking.

umm wow that looks almost exactly like the knife that I drew up when i was at work and bored only mine was a 5in drop point and a 3/16 thick and either D2 or 1095.

Great-looking knife, Ray! Just sent an email to you about ordering a Bowie from you. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Another awesome on, and that sheath is cool too. Looks like you kept the right one!

Thats a keeper. Every now and then one owes to one's belt to use and enjoy. Look at it as an investment, I sell more knives by displaying them on the belt and using them infront of prospective buyers.

Thanks for all the kind words. Ilbruche, I'd be glad to get gas for $4.00. Over here its $4.50 and up:grumpy:. Hey I didn't even realize that this thread was my 1000th post!:D

Congrats on the 1000th post and that's an awesome knife and sheath setup! I would've kept it too.

Chickenplucker, I made the sheath but I added the pocket only after I decided to keep it for myself.

As always, beautiful knife. I am jealous of both the fact that you get to keep it and you have the talent to make it.
Now you have the rare ability to say "I own a Ray Laconico knife!"

.........instead of trying to sell it again.............

C'mon, now, how hard would you really have to "try" to sell THAT??
It's gorgeous. It's not even "my kind of knife" and it's got me drooling.
Stuff like that makes me back up and reconsider my own personal preferences. Very nice knife and nice rig to boot.:thumbup:
