A reliable source has informed me of the possibility that Mike Snody and Michael Janich are going to team up again(the Ronin, that will be ready in the next week or two, will be the first joint effort between these two). From what I understand this knife will be a large combat model with a mix of Japanese and western influence.

I sure hope that the info that I got is correct. This could be a very exciting knife. Maybe Mike can confirm for us whether this is true or false, and if true let us know more about this knife.

What do you say Mike, are we going to see a new large combat knife? If this is something that you are thinking about, my vote would be a resounding yes.

Keith.

I would agree also, sounds very interesting!

Hey Keith, It would appear that your source is reliable. I will be offering a new Michael Janich design. I assure you that Michael has out done himself on this one. He has named it "Bushi-Bo" or warrior bowie. It is a large dramatic combat bowie style blade married to a traditional tapered Japanese style handle. The handle will be diamond wrapped with an oval tsuba style guard. I am very excited about this pattern. Thanks for your continued interest in my work.

Hey Mike that is great news. When do you think that we will be able to get a look at this knife. This is something I could be very interested in.

Keith.

Actually, "Bushi Bo" translates to "warrior stick."

I'm sure Mike was going for a "hybrid" Japanese/American name, with "bo" being short for bowie. I wonder what the Japanese word for Bowie is?

Hi Mike, I just thought that since I had not seen a post from you recently that I would ask again when we could be seeing the Bushi-Bo. Also, how are things going with the Ronin?

Keith.

Hey Keith,
It will be awhile before I finish the first Bushi-Bo. The Ronins will start going out early next week. A couple will go to Michael Janich and a couple more will go to Tripleaughtdesign and Bladeart. I will get one to the photographer next week and have it up soon. Thanks for your continued interest in this project.
