All the best,

Jere, only lives about an hour and a half away and has done several engraving projects for me.
I enjoy visiting his shop and picking up the finished knives and seeing what he's working on. It's amazing what
he can do with a hammer and chisel. Him, Edmund and Linda, all amazing artist.

Here is the 1st Huge Full Integral Edmund made after wrestling
with its pattern for over 2 years. He named it "Orgasmatron".

When finished, this beauty weighed 4 pounds and 5 ounces (1.95 kg) and it was
the 2813th integral knife he created till that day in 2007...

I chose to display this amazing piece on the cover of the fully illustrated
deluxe edition of the book that I published on his Integral knife-art one year later, in 2008.

"Edmund Davidson" The Art of The Integral Knife"
It is still available directly from Edmund.

Here is Edmund introducing his new book at the 2008 BLADE SHOW.
Standing on the left is the Editor of the French Knife Magazine "Excalibur".

Actually it's not Excalibur, it is the owner and editor in chief of La Passion des Couteaux (Passion for knives) which is the oldest knife magazine in France :-)
Impressive knife by the way ! Thank you David for sharing.

I LOVE & admire Mr. Davidson's work so VERY much!! Thank you my friend for sharing it with us.
I can only dream of owning his work.

I've got s BIG chopper that someone at some point stored in the sheath and rusted the begeezus out of it.

I spoke to him about it in KC and will take it this year so he can see if anything can be done.

You can get the book I made on Edmund from him, where I photographed the whole
process of his making a Full Integral, as well as many of his knives and everything else
related to his everyday life and amazing hobbies.... It is a fully color illustrated
true deluxe printing and very detailed in every aspect...

Ask him about it at: davidson.edmund@gmail.com
He will enjoy talking to you!

All the best,

Thank you!! I would LOVE to get his book, and I too would enjoy talking to him!!

If you do get the book and like what I did, it would be nice
if you could write your impressions on this Thread..... :)

Doc D, the books are first class, Edmunds was no exception. Having held many of Ed's knives I thought you articulated what was unique about them and delivered to the reader an understanding about the time and effort that Edmund masters for each of his blades. Its really more like a conquest of a creation, or a test of wills. To explain what its like to hold a bar of steel that weighs over 50lbs. and then see the end result at 6lbs. is mind blowing!, and then to see Jerrys and Linda's expressions just make it doubly so.

Over 6 lb's of weight? That is what I call heft! Gorgeous work of course. =)

Bigjohn, I am sure that you can imagine what an amazing experience it was for me to stay with Edmund
for 8 days in Goshen, Virginia, to watch him create a Full Integral and to do all the photography for his book....

All the beat,

I would be happy too!! It will be awhile before I CAN pick it up the book. I LOVE your books so much.

Suzanne: I'd be happy to mail you a copy of mine. Keep it for as many weeks or months it takes to savor it.

Glad to share. It's doing me less good sitting on my shelf.

LMK.

When doing the book on Edmund, staying with him for 8 days, I spent many
hours documenting the process of making a Full Integral knife, but also documented
everything related to his hobbies, close friends and everyday life..
A truly amazing adventure being with him all day long.

One of his serious loves is building and sharp-shooting Black Powder Muskets...
Here is one of the best pictures I shot with him in action... Authentic clothes he
uses in competitions and a knife he made to fit the period...

Here, from Edmund's book, is a look at some of his knife-pattern templates.
He has a wall full of them.... I had never seen anything like that before...
