Hi guys:
Finished up another one this morning.
Steel is brine quenched 1084, canvas micarta handles with red liners.
After messing around with 1095 all winter doing some 1084 was really nice.
I tried to taper the tang on this, and swiss cheesed it twice as much as I usually do, trying to move the balance point forward. Epoxy filled the taper and its tough to tell I did anything at all. Balance point is right at the first pin... same as when I drill fewer holes and don't attempt to taper. I probably should have chosen a less dense handle material... canvas is really heavy.
Anyway, I think it turned out not bad.
Enjoy the pics, and let me know what you think either way.
