Here is a quick blog about it, with an article to come soon:

It's made by people who make spendy ultralight gear, so I'm curious to see the price point.

Sorry I'm not interested in any 22 rifle that shoots 3" groups at 25 yards. You would have probably 50-50 chance of making a head shot on small game and birds at 25 yards and can you imagine what kind of group you would have at 50 yards?
Sorry at 50 yards you wouldnt have a group.

Looks cool! The stock sights look pretty minimal so perhaps accuracy can be improved with an optic or aftermarket sight.

Or it could be that the guy is a bad shot. I'd be interested if it turns out to be a good shooter. 20 oz is lighter than most pistols.

:barf:also my very first thought. although i like the idea of a survival pack rifle, with groups like that your better off just packin a 10$ wrist rocket. hopefully it was just the test shooters bad shooting.

I'll stick with my Ruger 22/45, thank you. I can get sub 1" groups at that range. Any rifle that can't out shoot a pistol is pretty worthless in my book.

Why is a simple pack rifle so difficult to invent for companies? Or a decent breakdown shotgun?? This isn't that complicated.

My thinking as well.

While its not completely packable, my son and I really like our little Chipmunk .22 with its peep-sights. Accurate little gun too.

Remember the AR-10? It was almost a decent pack rifle, except — at least on the one I owned — it was incapable of hitting anything smaller than an elephant.

Those are cool little guns! My younger sister was deadly with hers. I recall an article a long while back about a gent who took a synthetic stocked one and stuffed the stock with survival goodies. Pretty neat little kit actually!

I wouldn't mind getting a Chipmunk and cutting the stock, to rig it into breakdown-ability.

Spooky,

It is one of my favorites, we were out shooting it and a Ruger Single-Six in my yard on Sunday.. The kit in the stock sounds good, but I love the Walnut stock on mine. It's a lot of gun for the money...

Remington 510 targetmaster-breaks down with the twist of a single screw and groups well out to 100 yards. Either that or an old BRNO Number 1. Either or you pay less than 100 dollars for one heck of a shooter that is extremely simple to operate and easy to maintain.

I can do much batter than that with my H&R sportsman .22 revolver.

I think people try to do too much with packable .22 rifles- always trying to ADD something- .410 barrel, ammo storage, floatation, whatever. All you need to do is put a field removable pivot pin in an H&R pardner style break action single barrel. Done! that's it! that's ALL. 18 inch barrel, a stock, a box of shells, put it in a big sock and carry it. Make it a super light plastic stock if you want, I don't care.

After reading the information on the rifle, it appears that the 3" group was shot by the author. I don't necessarily believe that the rifle is that inaccurate. I like the concept of small lightweight .22 rifles and have owned several. None were as accurate as my ruger 10/22 but they were all fun to shoot. They included an M-6 Scout, which I love, and an older model Charter Arms AR7 which was a great concept, but not made very well and extremely unreliable. The Chipmonk and Marlin Papoose are two rifles I hear very good things about and if my finances improve I would like to own them.

High Standard made a nice 6 inch .22 9 shot revolver that grouped well at 50 though they are hard to come by now.
