If you are referring to my post, I meant that the movie was a questionable career promotion move for Sean....
 
I like the whole range of personalities and topics discussed here. It is often an escape for me after a trying day at work. This forum is very unique in many ways, as are the people that frequent it. The colorful imagery displayed sometimes may not be knife related, but it's at worst PG-13 stuff. You want to be shocked, watch an hour of MTV or play one of the ever popular, ultra violent console games. You will wonder how Zardoz ever even came up.

I am with Mike on this brothers.

I also have to agree with Skunker in that I think a lot of the BS that has been going on is boredom. Some folks haven't been keen on any of the design offerings in the last few months so they get off track. When the Fusion BM hits the page and finally our hands, there will be a ton of knife related stuff as will there be when Blade comes and goes. I have been on here for what, 4 years? This is probably the most out of control I have seen it in that time. Don't get me wrong, I think some of the stuff is funny as heck, but it honestly belongs in the W&C, where all members are allowed I think so nothing keeps us from sharing it over there. If I know Mike he is like me, he wants to spend his time on here exchanging meaningful stuff and not trying to track down the newest Zardoz sighting, miss airbags or Jessica Simpson so he can delete it before it scars some poor kid. I don't think and I hope that none of you guys post that stuff out of emnity for the mods, that would truly be out of character for anyone I have met here.

You guys are like my second family, pretty much my only friends (sad but true), so why don't we all step back and take a breath and get this thing back on track. Post your knives, post you knives and favorite beverage, post your knives and favorite guns, post your knives and favorite smokes or pics of your stomping grounds where you stomp your knives, but please no more diapers, air bags or dirty pillows (that's what my bartender taught her daughter to call them when she was young, no wonder she is screwed up now :)).

By the way, I have never seen this Zardoz movie, surprising because it sounds like 100% MST3K territory, but I am ashamed for Sean Connery and his career for ever having been so low as to do something that is quite obviously C grade or worse. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go see if I can find it at my local video store. :D

I rarely chime in on things like this, but........

As I drift through the various forms, nearly all are so knife specific that once you get the gist of a topic, it quickly becomes boring for me since it tends to get beat to death or some meaningless argument about some moot point.

Then I get to Busse Combat forum. It is lively here, a lot of fun, full of laughs, and some things that I bypass fairly quickly.

But most of all, when there is a topic going on about knives, it is usually very informative for me.

If this gets to be restricted to knife type words only, this forum could die the death of numerous others. Or at least dwindle to nothingness.

Look at the stats...... This forum and the himalyan (sp) one usually get the most hits in a day.

Because this is a fun place....

And if any of you Bastids drive Amy-0 off,,, Or the Blade Babe, then a curse on your INFI and may it become 420C right in front of your eyes. :rolleyes: :D

I like to joke around as much as the next fellow, but if it's causing the moderators grief because folks are complaining, then that's reason enough to rein it in.

I'll post here a bit less, but when I do post, I'll keep it about the INFI.

I'm pretty sure tobacco and whisky are still in the playlist. Good Lord, if we can't talk about scotch, then I suspect Jerry is going to yank the Busse forum right out of BF all by himself.

Brought home that deer antler pipe tamp, I made. I'll work up a pic tomorrow.

Zardoz will always have a warm place in my heart... Long live Zardoz!!!

Guys, I don't mean to drive the pendulum clear back to the other side of the scale by any means.

Just think about who all reads this forum. That's all.

You guys are all great, contribute a lot, and all have a great sense of humor, and like Proporker said, are like a 2nd family to me too.

Sometimes the wife reads some of the stuff, and asks if there is an age limit...LOL

Then again, she keeps tellin me to "act my age". I ask mental or chronological... SMACK!!!

I wish the heck all of us could meet up, break bread, and enjoy the commoraderie (sp) I've seen occur at Blade. Believe me guys, it is like nothing you've ever experienced. Don't know of many other makers who have such a family of followers.

If Zed gets daisy dukes, I'm going to have to rethink my fondness for him. Only a real man can pull off a red thong and criss-crossed bullet suspenders. Daisy dukes, on the other hand, are just way too effeminate.

At times like this, I ask myself. WWCND? (What would Chuck Norris do?) :D
