A new,possibly lifesaving, use for the Kukri

Sounds like work for a kobra (18 - 24 inches, very light). They've been scarce on the daily specials. Do you suppose someone knows something, and is hoarding them?
 
Whenever I hear "hoarding" I immediately think of one thing/person?

Shortage of Kobras you say? You can bet they're all stacked neatly in a dank, dark, cave at the edge of a mosquito infested swamp. Aye laddie, many a fine khukuri has wound up in the clutches of that foul feathered beast. Shhhh, did you hear a faint quacking just now? Quick, hide the khukuris and lock up the sheep, no need to worry 'bout the women lest they be one legged dancing girls. ;)

Far be it from me to disparage waterfowl of ANY persuasion, but why would he be hoarding such things? I mean, zombies and vampires have SOME standards, don't they? From the description of that cave...

Hist! Was that a duck call? Or...
