My buddy across the street is a Clackamas County Sheriff and got me one of these custom Kershaw Blurs... Very cool little knife and comes with a little glass breaker as well. It's light, sharp, black and fast... I recognized the stripe design on the blade to be matching the design on their cruisers. Great idea. Maybe if I get pulled over and caught with one of these, I'll catch a break???? Probably not:( Oh well

Dang thats nice. How does one go about having something like that done? I am a Deputy Sheriff and I know tons of my fellow Officers would love something like that.

good question... I guess you could have someone call Kershaw. I know they are great about doing special projects for military and law. And the price is good at around 50% retail. next time I see him, I'll ask if he knows any specifics. All I know is that they are available to the officers through the dept

yes!, I was told there were a few special differences. The glass breaker is also been added from the Rescue Blur version. I'm not sure if Kershaw determined all these differences or if they worked with the sheriffs dept on that. The serrations kinda remind me of those on Benchmades

I have a Junkyard Dog with the smaller serrations and functionally I like them. The aggressive ones do look nice.

Never saw a glass breaker on a folder before, great idea. Gave my blur away but I do like them.

I'd buy one with a flipper and frame lock in a instant. Gorgeous knife by the way. If you happen to come across another, or need money, I'll be first in ,in to buy it.

I actually gave this to a friend at work as a present... he was the one who recently took the heat for carrying a Mini Cyclone at work. Giving is a good feeling as well...

With a flipper even.

OH MY SWEET LORDY!!! Yes pleeaasseee!

Actually, when I wanted to get a really decent folder some years back, I almost got a Blur. The bright red handle for easy visual reference, the great AO action and the sweet ergos really made me fall for it, but I wasn't really into a liner locks (ended up with an Endura instead).

If the good folks at Kershaw do decide do make one and with their current design approach to making their excellent framelocks, DAMN! That would be too  for words!

What was it that got him in trouble for carrying a Mini-Cyclone at work? I carry both a "Mini" and a full-sized Cyclone at work, with no problems.

I startede another post in this forum which outlines the situation. I think the thread is called something like "That's Not What I'd call a Pocket knife". Basically, his new supervisor is a misinformed, narrow minded fool who (literally) believes an exacto knife is also a threat in the workplace.

I gave him this knife (for offsite carry, of course) because I know if said supervisor ever saw it, he'd probably need counciling... after cleaning his drawers :)
