Neat thread, Charlie. I've always like the unique look of slant bolsters.
While slant bolsters were produced by W.R. Case & Sons during their existence from 1905 to 1914, it seems that pocket knives with slant bolsters really hit their stride in the 1920s.
Cutlery companies such as Wostenholm, Boker, Remington, and Case (Tested XX) all started offering slant bolster folders in the 1920s.
Here are a couple of nice examples from Wostenholm (bottom), and Boker (top).

I have not really noticed slant bolsters before. I am trying to decide if I like them better slanting opposite or parallel to each other....
