A New Spyderco Hawkbill: What You Would Want?

Ok, my $.02 fwiw.

Bring back the Byrd Crossbill in G-10. The curve geometry is spot on, the handles are grippy enough, it's tough in PE and SE and would be a stunner in combo edge. I like the steel just fine, I've yet to wear one out...but sometimes when day dreaming I wonder how it'd be in like S-35?

Instead of a Byrd Crossbill I would much rather see the return of the SUPERHAWK which has Hawkbill curve very similar to the Crossbill and has a much better overall construction. Yeah the price is a bit higher but it is a high quality Hawkbill blade that I want to see return. But in Spyderedge this time around please!!!??

For a Hawkbill to do justice to a combo edged blade I think you might have the perfect size for that to work right.

A fixed blade Hawkbill is way overdue in the Spyderco line up and I'm believing that a combo edge might work well with that scenario.

Agreed, would be the ultimate boater (pull cut) belt knife IMO. WANT, Thanks bro.......

That's a great point you make "dtoad" because I think a lot of newer Spyderco fans have lost sight of the fact that the original intent of the Harpy as well as most other Hawkbill blades were target marketed toward the fishing, boating, sailing sectors of the market. As well as anyone who makes their living working around lakes, oceans, rivers or other bodies of water.

With the Hawkbill blades and the TUSK model I believe Spyderco is poised to have a big presence in those markets>> with little or hardly no competition I might add.
