Howard, have you added the word "Hunchcha" to the vocabulary section of the Khukuri FAQ yet? Hunchcha means "So be it," the traditional response a Gorkha makes to the news that his family has picked out a bride for him and arranged his marriage. Just thought you might like this new term.

What the hell do you mean I'm a bad influence?

It's the same response you get when you ask the waiter to bring you another cup of tea. Or, what the sauji says if you ask him if he has Sayapatri cigarettes. Or, what the cab driver says if you ask him if he can take you to Dili Bazaar. And, you never know, that Gorkha just might say, "hoina", to the arranged marriage deal.

Thank you, Howard. Glad to contribute something to your great project. You've made my day.

Wahoo!

Bob and Howard. We better be careful or somebody like Sonam will jump in here and run that vocabulary list up to 5 or 10 thousand words in one whack!

If you're wondering about Pala, he gets bored "looking at that screen" and prefers to repair cracked handles, modify scabbards, sharpen blades, and other like activities. He is not the office boy type.
