Headed out on New Year's Day to test out a new load for the .38 revolver.
Wanted to see how the bullet was looking (deformation and rifling engagement) after the penetration test.
Spyderco Tuff to the rescue!!!

Bullet looks good.
Plenty of bearing surface for rifling engagement...should work out well enough.

At coffee afterwards, the Resistor wanted a picture with the Chewbacca ring.
You know, it makes sense; it's the Resistor, and Chewbacca fought with the Resistance. ;)

Anyway, there you go.
A little bit of knife use, and a little bit of silly knife posing.
The year is off to a good start. :D

That TUFF is one do-it-all knife...nothing quite like it. Nice test pics also.

Absolutely. :)
One of the all-time greats in the hard use genre.
Carries well, great ergonomics, tough yet actually cuts things like a knife should.
They need to do a sprint run or two of it; keep the same steel, but maybe offer it in carbon fiber or some neat colour of G-10.

Thanks for sharing. Put more confidence into that knife that I didn't necessarily have before.

What steel is yours?

Oh, excellent choice indeed. I didn't know they made a folder with 3V. That definitely changes a lot.

I wish they'd do a run of the Military with CPM 3V steel.
That would be pretty great, and they have already done runs with other non-stainless steels, like D2 and such.

Nice detail pictures.
Tim Hortons coffee mmmm.

Indeed. :)
Tried Starbucks numerous times, various coffee houses around Windsor and Toronto, and even sipped espresso in a few trendy Parisian cafes, but I still prefer good old Tim Hortons coffee.

so Horton's is aboot the best around?

Pretty much. :D
You'll encounter coffee snobs who say otherwise, but I have tried their supposedly superior choices, and they do not live up to the hype.

Plus, Tim Hortons folks have never had any issues with my knives and taking pictures of them.

I'm starting to believe Canada actually exists at this point. ;)

Visit one day, you guys are our brother country. Thanks for sharing you have a good knife collection going!

Plus, it was good to see a Tuff being actually used, I thought it might not cut well but..

Wow, i really want a tuff now:) That spliting that wood like that is pretty impressive for a folder. And yes Tim Hortons coffee is the best coffee around. Didnt have them in KY, and moved to Ohio 3yrs ago and was blown away by them. And they're everywhere here too!

I'm pretty sure we exist. :)

The Tuff really is a great knife.
Too bad the production run-time wasn't all that long though.
But at least Tim Hortons coffee isn't going away! :D It just keeps spreading.

I'm not so sure this guy is in Canada. It's January, and he's got outside pictures with grass. Not a hint of snow. And the grass is green!

I haven't seen the brown mess of my lawn in about 6 weeks.

All you heard when the Tuff was available, was about how ugly it is. I never thought it was at all, feels great in hand and I found it to have a beauty that grew quickly with use.

Right now the temperature outside is 5 degrees Celsius!!! (41 Fahrenheit)
Yet tonight it's going well below freezing, and staying that way for a while (so they say right now...).

The saying around Windsor is "Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes." :D

Boxing Day the temperature here was 13 degrees Celsius (55.4 Fahrenheit).
We almost broke a temperature record.

We had snow on the ground at the beginning of the day, but by the end it was gone entirely.

Yep. :)
