A nice Kaiken with a simple steel guard

Here is another blade I put together and liked it so much I held onto it for a while but now it's time to put it on the blocks.

SPECS:
steel: is 1/4" thick 1095
Heat treat: Clay treatment producing a hamon
Blade: Length 9.75 inches from tip to steel guard with fuller on each side.
Overall: 15 inches
Handle: Thin Koa wood scales on the knifes full tang. String ray skin cemented on top of scales and over wrapped with heavy black cord. The cord wrap is set in epoxy for greater wear resistance.
Sheath: Black leather 8/9 ounce weight.
