Heres where I racked out for the night. I loaded it up with pine branches before laying down a tarp
for moisture barrier.

This pictures for my wife. I needed some cushion from the ground and she was more than willing
to donate her pink playtex yoga mat but only if I incorporated it with the rest of the pictures. Hehe

Thanks for looking!
Hope to do another winter outing in February.
Gotta pick up a new pack though.

Honestly a fantastic picture thread --- looks awesome. I recommend you check out the Bushbox XL and the GSI Pinnacle Backpacker kit to complement that sexy ASH ;)

Hey thanks Rob. Well for my mess kits I have a Heavy Cover Inc Titanium canteen + mess kit.
And If I need more than that I used my big titanium snow peak pot + small cup + skillet + the pathfinder bottle twig stove and trangia all nest inside the big snow peak pot.

I find with twig stoves they usually don't get used by me anyway I tend to prop logs accordingly or just set my cups/pots level on the coals.
I do appreciate the tips though so much gear to choose from out there.

Awesome pictures! What part of PA were you in? Looks exactly like the terrain I find myself hunting in around Jersey Shore, PA.

Awesome! Cheers man -- sounds like you've got all your bases covered.

Great pics and write up. I've wanted to do a winter trip for a while now. Someday I'll get it done.

Brilliant mate, just brilliant.....!!!!!! It was just shy of 100F where I was yesterday....I spent three hours rowing a crappy tourist boat up a river...!!!! I would have killed for some snow..!!!
