Post office does exactly what Coleman said. That’s why I switched to FedEx. Because with FedEx my goods are still tariff exempt according to the CUSMA except for a small amount on non originating steel content. It’s all explained in the tariff thread in my sub forum.

To my fellow Americans, I don’t think I’d be too overzealous about the tariffs (I’m not). It’s recently been said (easily available information) that roughly 96% of the tariffs have been paid for by the American consumer…. So this really has just been a massive tax on the American people……… Obviously not across the board but over all

Correct. Canadians have been “taxed” for buying products from the USA for years.

Now your government is “taxing” you for buying products from Canada.

Both situations are vexing for me because I hate paying taxes.

Unfortunately for myself, UPS and Fedex are not an option. The closest drop off for me is a 3 hour round trip. I live in a small town and UPS/Fedex/DHL are just not an option. :/

@lorien i am not familiar with you or your work? Where can i find your knives?

I do a fair amount of design work for Carothers Performance Knives, have a couple folders of my design made by Boker, and I make a small number of knives from time to time these days.

When I do have knives available, I'll notify the people on my mailing list first, and whatever is left after a couple of weeks goes into the exchange here on Bladeforums. If you'd like to be added to my mailing list, please drop me a DM. I have a half dozen knives in process at the moment, which will be available within a couple months. For those who've supported my work over time, I may agree to do custom work, but rarely.

Most of what I've made, am making, can be viewed in this subforum.
