You're not alone. I used to work in industrial electronics in the textile industry and always found the main blade on a Super Tinker to come in handy to allow me to see LED's on proximity sensors...if they were on the back side of something, I could use the blade to watch mechanism in action and verify that the sensor was sensing what it was supposed to...lifesaver for me a lot of times.
