I'm so embarrassed at why I didn't post these two khukuris last week - I didn't know their names! Well, I finally found the name on the air waybill, and here they are (I'm pretty sure they are called chainpures):
I've got two. They are about 15 inches long, are pretty thick (a bit thicker than the standard SN1), and have an all-wood handle (the full spike tang is fastened with a diamond shaped piece of brass like with other khukuris of the more regular variety). The cho is rather interesting - the closed cho variety.
Seventy bucks, shipping included for each (to the US). Interested parties please don't email, but instead, leave word here (I had a problem with the mini-mes - some confusion over who came first, an email or a post).
Also, would appreciate knowing if there'd be any interest in carrying these on a more regular basis.
And anybody with info on why the cho is closed rather than open would be greatly appreciated.
