A perfect day on the water

Hi Kevin and everybody else....long time lurker, first time poster and all that stuff...

Just had to chime in and comment on what a great set of pics of the river in my 'backyard'....my lady and I just paddled the river in this area last weekend....we put in in Riverton across from the old Hitchcock factory, and pulled out a bit further down than the Mainstream spot...

Maybe we even passed you, huh? haha....

Anyway, I guess I didn't realize how many 'neighbors' there are on here...and I thought nobody liked to admit that they live in CT!!!

G26,

The rod is a 4 piece St. Croix. It is an awesome set up with the quantum reel. The bail is magnetic and durable as all hell. I've used it all over New England and have even brought it with me to the Caribbean Islands. A bit pricey but if you baby it, it will last you a lifetime. Mine has been with me now for at least 5 years if not more (likely more.)

Whitefoot,

There are a lot of folks here from our state. We need to plan more trips together. Tony M., Big Mike, Marcelo and a few others get together all the time. We're lucky to have so many places within an hour of all of us. Feel free to E-mail me anytime you want to paddle the river or meet up for some skills practice. My E-mail is Kevinestela at hotmail dot com.

Hey cool, I'll drop you a line sometime....I'm always looking for friends who like to spend time in the trees....

I see now that you mentioned working for Mainstream for quite a while, maybe we already know some of the same folks? I worked for a very local restaurant for almost as long as you worked for them, so maybe I even made a few lunches for you at some point....small world huh?
