I've only had two fixed blades arrive with a truly flawless finish, and Jelio made one of them. This knife is a sure thing at $145.

I couldn't agree any more. Jelio truly does delivery perfect knives - his hand rubbed blade finishes are the best in my entire collection - his fit & finish is 10/10, every single time, & his designs are timeless... Great sheaths too!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I appreciate it.

What's your thought behind using 440b?

I use this steel in my kitchen and I am pleased. With good cutting properties, ease of sharpening. People to whom I made knives from 440B are also satisfied.

Don't have any experience with 440B. How often does it need to be sharpened compared to AUS8 for example?

In my experience, 440B behaves like 440C and there's no way I could tell them apart.

Edit: Between AUS 8, 440B and 440C, edge holding differences will hinge on a variable other than steel selection.
