A personal little pet peeve....

i'm the rarity that uses both hands for different tasks. so i play both sides of the fence. lefties are about completely ignored in most tools and such. it is what it is. so i just learned to use righty products with my left. yeah it's not perfect......but it no longer limits what i can get anymore. while it's irritating not being to use a product like a righty can such as using the pocket clip as designed.......it is liberating being able to still use the product and not see it as a handicap anymore. you might be amazed how fast you can adapt...

BTW, I am an RN also, and play guitar, bass, mandolin, and drums righty. Keyboard is not specifically left or right handed :D

I always enjoy watching lefty drummers play. I'm right handed so I learned that way, but I screw around with my kit and switch things up sometimes.

I can see why a manufacturer would go for 90% of the market as opposed to 10%, but even though I am a righty and carry mostly on my right I do like having the options to switch carrying clips--tip up/down as well as left/right. The only exception is my Spyderco Volloton, the bolsters are so nice it's actually a shame they drilled the extra holes there and messed up the look.

Don't know what the additional expense is but clearly many manufacturers have decided it's not cost effective to drill the extra holes.

I am right-handed and generally prefer the ambidextrous lock designs over liner-locks and frame-locks:

The traditional lockback, the Axis Lock, Arc Lock, and Closed Ball-Bearing Lock I like a lot more.

Over the past 20 years or so, I have worked a little bit on developing and maintaining some ambidextrous skills, because of drumming and working industrial work my hands are always getting small cuts, where it is good to switch-off while it heals.

In a perfect knife world, all folding knives would have 4-way pocket clip mounting to make everyone happy. Unfortunately, a lot of handle shapes don't always leave enough for this to happen.

Im a righty but carry in my left pocket . I dont even think about a knife unless it will go lefty !
Your should learn how to use all your tools in both hands , you never know !

Again, I can use all my tools with both hands...the original question was about lefty friendly carry.
